Itinerary

Historic Center of Arequipa – Walking Tour

The tour begins in the traditional San Lázaro neighborhood, considered the founding place of the city, where you will walk through its narrow streets full of history.

We continue toward the Church of San Francisco and then head to the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa, where you can admire its colonial architecture, granite arcades, and the emblematic Tuturutu fountain.

Later, we visit the Basilica Cathedral of Arequipa, one of the city’s main religious monuments, with its imposing ashlar stone façade.

The tour continues at the Convent of the Society of Jesus, considered one of the greatest expressions of Arequipa’s Baroque style, highlighted by its cloisters and gold-leaf decorations.

Finally, we visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, an impressive citadel built in ashlar stone, representing one of the most important cultural attractions in Arequipa.
