Arequipa – Chiguata – Salinas Salt Flats – Return
The excursion begins at 6:00 a.m. with pickup from the Historic Center of Arequipa. Departure to the picturesque town of Chiguata, where you will enjoy breakfast surrounded by agricultural terraces and Andean landscapes.
We continue the ascent toward the viewpoint of the Pichu Pichu volcano (4,300 m.a.s.l.), from where you get a privileged view of the Misti volcano and the city of Arequipa, as well as observe high-Andean flora and fauna.
Then the route continues to the Salinas Salt Flats, where you can admire its impressive water mirrors. Depending on the season, it is possible to observe flamingos and other unique natural phenomena.
Optionally, visit the mini-volcano and the Lojen hot springs. Finally, lunch in Chiguata (not included) and return to Arequipa, arriving approximately at 4:30 p.m.
