Humantay Lake Hike
Our Humantay Lake Tour will begin with hotel pickup in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 am. From there, we will head to the Mollepata district in private transport (approximately 2 hours). Upon arrival, we will enjoy an American breakfast and have free time to use the restrooms and buy drinks or snacks.
After that, we will continue the journey for another hour until we reach Soraypampa, a point situated at 3,900 meters above sea level, marking the start of our hike. As we begin the ascent, we will have a panoramic view of the Salkantay and Humantay snow peaks. Our professional guide will provide a brief description of the hike and recommendations before starting the climb to the lake.
The hike to Humantay Lake takes about an hour and a half. Once at the top, you can enjoy the stunning view of the turquoise lake, located at 4,300 meters above sea level. You’ll have free time to take photos, explore, and enjoy this unique landscape.
After spending time at the lake, we will return to the transport at Soraypampa and continue to Mollepata for lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco, concluding the tour around 5:00 pm.
