On this exciting journey through the Andes of the Cusco region, Turitika Travel offers you a unique adventure sports experience riding ATVs (also known as quad bikes, four-wheelers, or all-terrain vehicles). Throughout the route, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley, with its extraordinary combination of mountains, valleys, and snow-capped peaks.
Itinerary
Route: Cruzpata – Moray – Maras – Salt Mines
The service begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco:
- Morning group: pickup between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
- Afternoon group: pickup between 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM.
After approximately one hour of travel, we will arrive at the community of Cruzpata, the starting point where we will be equipped with safety helmets and gloves. Our bilingual guide (English-Spanish) will provide a complete briefing on the proper operation of the ATVs and the necessary safety precautions.
We begin the route along ancient Inca trails, crossing natural viewpoints that offer spectacular panoramic views of the Sacred Valley. Our first stop is the impressive archaeological site of Moray, famous for its circular agricultural terraces. We will continue to the picturesque town of Maras, and finally visit the centuries-old Maras Salt Mines, where thousands of salt pools create a striking contrast against the surrounding mountains.
At the end of the activity, we return to the city of Cusco. As an additional option (subject to availability and customer preference), you may visit the traditional Quechua homes in Chinchero. Return to Cusco’s historic center is scheduled near Plaza de Armas:
